Women's Health

The holistic practice of women's health care is the treatment of women through all phases of their lives. We recognize that menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause are normal processes and not diseases. At the same time, many women experience uncomfortable or even debilitating symptoms related to the reproductive system. Holistic women's health care practitioners seek to restore balance to the reproductive hormones, in the context of the whole person. To achieve this balance, we may use bioidentical hormone therapy, as well as support for the thyroid and adrenal glands. Restoring health in women often involves an integrative approach which combines the best of both conventional and natural healthcare. Such an approach might include nutritional and lifestyle counseling, vitamin and mineral supplementation, botanical medicine, homeopathy or other modalities indicated for that individual.
